Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Contracting Committee, will organize a lecture entitled "Defining the importance of building codes in the construction sector" on Thursday, 7/3/1440 (15 November 2018) at 10:00 am at the Chamber's main headquarter.
The lecture will be presented by the Director of the Building Code Unit at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Eng. Saeed bin Khaled Kadesah.
For his part, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber and the Chairman of the Constructing Committee, Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Hammad, stressed the importance of the existence of the building code, because of its active role in raising the quality of construction and maintain the national economy by ensuring the safety of the buildings and its residents.
He pointed out that the lecture comes in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs in order to raise awareness among the contracting sector of the Eastern Region of the importance of the building code and its role in the assistant engineers and technicians and enable them to carry out their work in safe and safe ways.
The lecture, which comes within the framework of the work plan of the Contracting Committee 2018, defines the construction code, its importance, requirements and supplements related to construction to ensure safety and public health.
